Team BioWith a cumulative public service record of 60+ years, the WorkSource Douglas STEP team is comprised of members from diverse backgrounds which give each person a unique perspective on serving members of the community. If you’re a recipient of SNAP benefits, and you’re in need of assistance in job search, job preparation, training, or job retention, you need look no further. We are ready to discuss your career goals, long-term or short-term, and the steps necessary to accomplish them. STEP Information & Resources
Program Eligibility Requirements
The STEP (SNAP Training & Employment Program) offers many supportive services. However, there are certain criteria that must be met in order to be eligible.
1. Be a recipient of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits.
2. Have a complete, and up-to-date, iMatchSkills profile. Must include the last 5-10 years of your work history.
3. Complete an orientation conversation with a WorkSource staff member.
4. Complete an Opportunity Plan with goals which are S.M.A.R.T. (See below)
5. Be willing to engage in ongoing case management with WorkSource staff, and meet regularly for goal tracking. Support services are tied to goals.
