SNAP Training and Employment Program (STEP)The Oregon Employment Department's STEP program is designed to assist individuals receiving SNAP benefits to obtain skills, training, work experience, and employment to increase their ability to obtain living-wage employment.
Everyone starts somewhere. Where are you starting? Start here to learn how a career coach can help you develop a plan to reach your training and employment goals. They will also provide you with access to great employment opportunities that match your skills and interests. Your coach will make sure you have the resources to meet your goal including support with transportation, tuition, textbooks, school fees, identification, work clothes and tools, internet access, and other items. Find your local WorkSource Oregon center located at the tabs at the top of this page, and while WorkSource Oregon is not open to in-person services due to Covid-19, our career coaches can be reached by phone and virtual services.
